Today's lesson aims were to:
Explain the key ideas in texts
Compare/contrast information in texts
Use quotations/evidence to back up your ideas
Identify bias
We looked at comparing and contrasting opinions in different texts.
We used a BKSB text to compare ideas and learned how to use this information to answer some exam questions.
We also used some opinions from a Low Traffic Neighbourhood consultation blog to illustrate this. We also looked at how to answer the exam questions using appropriate language and level of detail.
We also mentioned bias in the documents. We will return to this subject!
Please find all the handouts below and your homework activity.
-
There are two exam questions to answer. Each is worth 3 marks:
1. Using the Noisy Office source documents, compare the opinions in Documents 1 and 2 about the impact of noise on creativity.
2. Using the Social Media source documents, compare how organisations use social media based on the information in Documents 1 and 3.
The documents you need to answer these questions are below.
Please type your answers into the box provided.
